The Test Taker’s Guide to the OET Deferral Policy

As a student enrolled in a review center for OET in Makati, for example, if you’re in that place, it is practical to know the intricacies of the OET deferral policy which include the rescheduling conditions, deferral fees and procedures, and changing the test location listed below:

Rescheduling Conditions

• You may defer at any time as long as you have NOT gone through the Test Day Registration process at the test venue.

• You must defer to a future open teat administration date.

• There are no refunds provided for any deferrals.

• You must defer your whole test application.

• A deferral cannot be reversed.

Deferral Fees and Procedures

Timeline	Fees	Procedure
If you filed your deferral before the closing of the application of your test date.	AUD $120 (₱ 4329.39)	Go to your myOET candidate profile, locate your booking and select DEFER. The administration fee, as well as the non-refundable booking fee, will be deducted from your refund.
If you filed your deferral after the closing of the application of your test date.	AUD $200 (₱ 7215.65)	Login to your myOET candidate profile, locate your booking, and click “Defer” or contact OET Support via OET website. The administration fee will be charged. Your test application will be deferred to the future test date that you have chosen.
If you filed your deferral on the day of your test date.	AUD $200 (₱ 7215.65)	Fill out the online Test Day Deferral form which must be submitted on the test day. Then the Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment (CBLA) will process your request. The application fee will be charged. Your application will also be deferred to the next available OET test date.

Changing the test location

You are also allowed to change your test venue, provided that you file a request before the closing of the application of your test date. It is prohibited to switch test venues after the closing of the application of your test date. Instead, you should defer to an available future test date at a different test location.

An administration fee of AUD $120 (₱ 4329.39) will be charged when changing the venue of your OET test location.
