OET’s Withdrawal Policies
Is your exam
scheduled on or before August 2018? Or, is it set on or after September 2018? The
referral policies for these two periods are different due to the OET update on
September 2018. So, consider your test date.
If your test is on or before August 2018
- You can withdraw your test application and get a refund for it…
o
…up to the closing of applications of
your test date. Log into
your online candidate profile and select “withdraw.” There’s an administration
fee of AUD 120, which will be taken from your refund.
o
…after the closing of applications of
your test date. Just go
to your OET online candidate profile and select “withdraw.” There’s an
administration fee of AUD 200, which will be taken from your refund.
o
…up to two business days before your
test date. Since OET
tests are usually scheduled on a Saturday or Sunday, the request needs to be
filed on the Wednesday before the exam. The procedure for withdrawing is the
same as those detailed above. The administration fee is AUD 200.
- You won’t get a refund if you withdraw the exam…

…within
two days before the test date.

- Test withdrawals are complete and nonreversible.
- The online booking fee (AUD 7) is not part of the refund.

log into your myOET candidate profile, find your booking, and click “withdraw.”
The administration fee (AUD 120) and the non-refundable booking fee (AUD 7)
will be deducted from your refund.

your test date. You can
either contact OET support or file your withdrawal through your myOET candidate
account. The administration fee (AUD 200) and the non-refundable booking fee
(AUD 7) will be taken from your refund.

…up to seven Australian business days
before your test date. So,
if you don’t file your refund request a week before your test date, you won’t
get refunds for your withdrawal. The
procedure and fees are the same as those designated for withdrawals made after
the closing of your test date’s applications.
